FSA, ECA and NSI sign MoU at IFSEC

by Andy Clutton

RJ PA SB Hi-ResThe Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) the Fire and Security Association (FSA) and the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at IFSEC 2015.

As a result of the agreement ECA and FSA members will be eligible for discounts on NSI initial certification fees and courses, while NSI-approved companies who apply for FSA or ECA membership will receive a discount on their first year’s subscription fee.

“We’ve worked together on a number of issues over the years, so formalising this relationship in this way was a natural move,” says FSA Chairman Pat Allen. “This is a crucial time for the electrical, fire and security industries and this agreement will mean we are able to combine our expertise for the good of the industry and allow our respective members access to the others’ offerings at a reduced rate.”

Richard Jenkins, Chief Executive of NSI, commented: “The ECA, FSA and NSI are committed to improving industry standards, ensuring clients receive the highest quality service from their contractors and helping businesses evolve and grow, so it seems fitting to put this agreement together now. This should help firms of all sizes have access to the services and support they need.”
