Hillis Security makes Trusted Trader shortlist

by Andy Clutton

HilliswhichHillis Security Systems of Upminster, Essex has been shortlisted for a national award, Trusted Trader of the Year 2016. The news comes in as the company is celebrating its 20th year of trading. The shortlist, on which Hillis is the only security business, is chosen by experts based on research, testing, Which? endorsements (such as Best Buy and Recommended Provider status), and feedback from Which? members and the general public, throughout the year.

The four finalists in the category are 2 RED, Day and Knight; Electricians in Reading and Hillis Security Systems.

“Being shortlisted for the Which? Awards 2016 is an achievement in itself,” says Vince Hillis, the founder of Hillis Security Systems. “It means so much to everyone in the company as our collective efforts have been recognised. We are up there with the best brands in the UK like John Lewis, Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Apple, Sony, Samsung, Iceland, Aldi and Singapore Airlines to name a few.”

This is the first time the company been nominated and, although Which? has been running the Awards for ten years now, it is only the second year that there has been a Which? Trusted Trader Award.

So the question is, will staff be rewarded for their work that has led to the nomination?

“I believe in recognising and rewarding the team for their hard work, regardless of being shortlisted as we continually receive excellent comments from new and existing customers alike,” says Vince. “But given that this is the Which? Award 2016 we will be celebrating but I can’t say where as it will be a surprise!”
