Vicon upgrades DVR offerings

ViconVicon has launched a more powerful generation of its Kollector recording platforms. With comprehensive network connectivity, increased storage capabilities and realistic pricing, Vicon believes its new Kollector models can become the recorders of choice. The new models, Kollector Force and Kollector Strike, offer real-time 25 frame per second recording per channel across 16 camera inputs and 8 IP inputs.

In addition to delivering all the features of the ViconNet video management software, the Kollector Force and Kollector Strike are supplied with a host of other advanced features and functions. The DVRs support H.264 compression, with real-time recording at 4CIF/D1 resolution across all channels. Users can view, control and record local and remote IP devices, and all 24 cameras may be viewed and recorded simultaneously. The recorder can support up to 10TB of internal storage.

As well as full integration with Vicon's new range of megapixel cameras, the Kollector Force and Strike are designed for complete compatibility with the ViconNet open platform and are therefore able to also support third party IP and megapixel cameras.

Both models support lip-synched audio recording, with the Strike having four audio inputs and the Force a full complement of 16 audio inputs. The Strike models all have two NIC cards fitted as standard to facilitate the connection of an iSCSI raid, whereas the Force models require an additional card.
