Panomera system ensures crowd safety

Concert-for-Valor_03Panomera multifocal sensor technology from Dallmeier was entrusted with public safety at the “Concert for Valor” in Washington, D.C. The concert was designed to honour American military veterans, active duty service members and their families. Several hundred thousand spectators attended the National Mall to see live performances by Bruce Springsteen, Metallica, Eminem and others.

In order to be able to ensure public safety at such a large event, various camera systems were deployed, including the Panomera multifocal sensor technology. The system was installed by Dallmeier working with its partner Total Recall.

“With the new technology in the Panomera cameras you can monitor the crowd as a whole, and at the same time zoom in to view specific details in the event of an incident”, says Peter Millius of Total Recall.

During the concert, the images were analysed in a truck stationed at the site by representatives of various police and government agencies.
