Securi-Guard Monitoring Services has secured a contract with True-Kare, to provide round the clock monitoring for UK users of its GPS Tracker device.

Designed for use by ‘at risk’ groups such as lone workers, vulnerable adults, children and those with serious medical conditions, the GPS Tracker will be monitored by operators at Securi-Guard’s National Security Inspectorate (NSI) Gold BS 8484 Lone Worker Monitoring Centre.

The services will be provided for the clients of True-Kare’s UK suppliers/distributors – and Securi-Guard will also be able to sell the GPS Tracker devices to its own customers, through True-Kare.

Pete Stanley, Head of Telematics at Securi-Guard Monitoring Services, said: “We have built up very strong partnerships with manufacturers, suppliers and distributors around the world, who are at the forefront of lone worker devices and True-Kare are very much part of that select group,” said Pete.

Based in Portugal, True-Kare specialises in utilising technology to develop “assisted living” solutions for use by professional care providers to improve the safety, as well as quality of life, for those in their care.

The GPS Tracker is one of a number of electronic product solutions True-Kare offers and enables users to be tracked by Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) technology in the event of an emergency. As well as ‘live’ GPS location capability the device will also give a history of previous locations. The device features an in-built SOS button so users can raise the alarm if they are in immediate need of assistance.
