In early March CIA officially launched its new logo, developed by Soaring Worldwide, to accompany the rebrand. The new fresh logo represents the modern company that CIA has become and will help fully incorporate Micro-Vision into the CIA Fire & Security Group.
Colin Harrison, Managing Director, said: “We have been operating for over 30 years and as our company has grown and evolved so has our brand. This is the next stage in our evolution. As technology develops and changes so must we.”
We asked Matthew Harrison, Operations Director of CIA Fire & Security to explain the thinking behind the changes.
Why the re-brand?
Over the past 30 years CIA has evolved from a one-man operation into a successful company with over 70 employees. The company has experienced a natural growth due to its customer service and responding to the customer’s ever evolving needs and requirements.
The security systems industry is technology driven and our branding needs to reflect the industry we work in, whilst standing out from the crowd. The previous logo format had been around since 1999 with new variations introduced in 2004, when we changed the colour, and in 2008 when we changed our name from Cirencester Intruder Alarm. During this period we enjoyed a lot of success and growth, however despite the heritage of the logo, it was time to refresh the brand.
The new, fresh logo represents the modern company that we are and will help us as we integrate Micro-Vision Fire & Security (Micro-Vision) into the CIA Fire & Security Group (CIA Group).
So apart from the logo, what’s changed?
In 2013, we completed the purchase of Micro-Vision Fire & Security, which specialised in commercial security. The acquisition enabled both companies to combine our skillsets and see CIA bring its more personal approach to the corporate world.
Similarly the merger gave Micro-Vision access to more up-to-date technology and a wider range of personnel to provide additional benefits to clients.
After a successful first 18 months working together as part of the CIA Group we relocated Micro-Vision to the Cirencester office, to work directly alongside CIA whilst continuing to operate in Gloucester and the South-West. Combining the offices allows us to streamline processes more effectively and create a better experience for clients.
Will the name Micro-Vision now disappear?
The Micro-Vision brand has been around for over 15 years and is highly recognisable in Gloucester and the surrounding area; it is an important brand to the CIA Group, therefore Micro-Vision will not disappear.
Any other plans for the future?
We are constantly looking for new ways to refine our processes and deliver the best possible service for our clients. Whether that is creating an online service booking portal, amending office opening hours to offer customers more contact time or a greener fleet of vehicles.
