by Andy Clutton

P1000248National Security Inspectorate (NSI) approved companies are now entitled to claim a 20% discount on all Tavcom Training programmes.

A partnership arrangement between Tavcom Training and NSI has been established for the benefit of NSI approved companies. NSI approved companies may now take advantage of a preferential rate for all Tavcom distance learning online programmes, as well as the traditional classroom and workshop based courses conducted at its Hampshire training centre.

“NSI and Tavcom share a vision of raising standards in the electronic security industry, and Tavcom’s offer underpins best practice in all aspects of a security system’s design, implementation, operation and maintenance,” said Paul Tennent, Group Sales Director. “We are therefore very pleased to have agreed this initiative. It is designed to encourage installers, systems integrators, control room operators and other organisations who are NSI approved to take the opportunity to improve their skill sets, and in the process acquire career enhancing, accredited qualifications.”

Commenting on the partnership, Richard Jenkins, CEO of NSI said: “Our national team of auditors complete in the region of 4000 regular and robust audits per year of NSI approved companies to verify continual compliance with industry Standards.  We welcome the opportunity for our NSI approved companies to access high quality training courses in order to  enhance their skills and knowledge as technological advances in the sector continue at pace.

“NSI runs its own training courses, primarily based on sector Standards, and by complementing this offer with Tavcom’s provision of quality, accredited courses, NSI approved companies have access to a broader range of cost effective, training options to bolster the learning and development of their employees.  NSI approved companies are able to take full advantage of this opportunity. We are delighted that this partnership between our two organisations has been established.”
